Japonica Collection creates customised garments for women searching for clothing as individual as they are. Be part of creating clothing that is truly yours, by selecting from our patterns, trims and unique natural fabrics where Japanese cotton is the focus. Talk to us online or in person and at your request we will lovingly create your garment or deliver products such as patterns and fabric for you to handcraft the garment of your choice.
We are based in Gelorup, Western Australia and can arrange workshops on request. Get creative and let’s enjoy working on your project together!
We create comfortable, slightly fitted garments to suit a variety of women. Our styles are designed to be timeless and the fabrics chosen for this range are 100% Japanese cotton for its versatility, comfort and durability. Cotton producers continue to build on environmental awareness and sustainability programs, and this is integral to the responsible production philosophy here at Japonica Collection. Our goal is to extend our range to include other cotton fabrics for you to choose from.
The fabrics in our range are carefully chosen for their individual designs and sustainable production. We are a small-scale production label, appealing to customers looking for something to suit their personal style. Our designs are chosen for their easy to wear qualities and can be styled to suit smart/casual occasions. Effortlessly pair up garments from our range or buy as individual pieces to integrate into your current wardrobe. Buy from Ready to Wear or from our Patterns to make your own. The choice is yours!
Ready to Wear gives you the opportunity to choose a style and decide on your own fabric or fabric combinations and finishes. You also have the option to customise garment lengths.
Patterns Create your own pants with our cropped pants pattern. We have created our first digital pattern for you to download and print on a home printer or take to your local print shop to have it printed on A0 size paper. This gives you the flexibility to choose the fabric and make your own garment. By doing this you are reducing the cost and giving yourself the opportunity to fine tune the fit and fulfil that creative need.
Sewing Kits Looking for garments that are cut out and ready to sew? Would you like to order a personalised sewing kit? Contact us to find out more! It can be daunting choosing a pattern, finding the fabric, cutting and preparing to sew. So often people have run out of time and interest once they have navigated the pitfalls of the preparation process and potential garments are left stored away in a cupboard. If you prefer, we can take the hassle out of cutting and you can request to receive your bundle cut out and ready to start sewing. Contact us to ask for details on this service.
So, get those machines out and create that garment in a morning! We plan to expand this range to include a greater design choice. Watch this space!

All fabrics are imported from Japan, are 100% cotton and a plain weave. Keep an eye on this space for new fabrics in the pipeline or contact us if you have any specific requests that we may be able to help you with.
Garments are made using your choice of fabric or fabric combinations. Fabric photographs are on the website and are shown in a variety of combinations. Depending on your monitor fabric colours may vary slightly from the photographs. Not all of our garment designs shown below are up on the website yet.
